updating a project to a new CORE build - Rick Johnson - 11-16-2016

When a new CORE build becomes available, supporting a new version of Illustrator, is it practical or even possible to move the old project to the new CORE folder and import configurations?

My sense is that it's best to move the files, but rebuild the project from a new template from the current CORE library.

It really depends on your preferences and perhaps project config changes you've made outside of what CORE already provides. One might say it's less work to simply move/copy the new configs from a CORE sample into an existing project, while another might say it's less work to simply copy all their files from one project into a sample and override settings where necessary. Personally, I prefer to move/copy new configs, but that is probably because I am intricately familiar with all the various config details.
