text field cursor missing in Mac dark UI - Rick Johnson - 01-11-2021
When the user has a dark UI on Mac, text fields display white text with a dark background, which is consistent with macOS dark mode, but when a cursor is placed within the text, it's not visible. With a dark UI, Windows uses black text on a gray background, and the text cursor is visible. As much as I like the reversed text better, the missing cursor makes editing difficult. Thanks.

Are you referring to the dark-mode UI of Illustrator, or the dark-mode UI of macOS itself? Which version of macOS and Illustrator?
