Detailed Description

Allows for storage of 2D points.

Constructor & Destructor Documentation

◆ PointPref() [1/3]

hdi::core::PointPref::PointPref ( )

Constructs an empty PointPref object.

Author
GW
Date
09/2013
Note
To test if a PointPref object is empty, call isEmpty() on it
Empty PointPref objects do not relate to any actual preference data; they are designed to be "receivers" of some other PointPref object via the overloaded assignment operator. Empty PointPref objects are useless until such time (though it is safe to call any of their methods)

◆ PointPref() [2/3]

hdi::core::PointPref::PointPref ( const PointPref p_)

Constructs a new PointPref object from an existing PointPref object (copy constructor)

Author
GW
Date
09/2013
Parameters
p_Existing PointPref object

◆ PointPref() [3/3]

hdi::core::PointPref::PointPref ( const Point value_,
const std::string &  name_ = ""
)

Constructs a PointPref object, with new data, to be added to a container at a later time.

Author
GW
Date
09/2013
Parameters
value_Initial point value
name_Name for the data once it has been added to its container, as UTF-8
Note
The name_ argument can only be "" (omitted) if the object will be added directly to an ArrayPref object.

◆ ~PointPref()

virtual hdi::core::PointPref::~PointPref ( )
virtual

Destructs a PointPref object.

Author
GW
Date
09/2013

Member Function Documentation

◆ clone()

virtual PointPref * hdi::core::PointPref::clone ( ) const
virtual

Convenience method to clone an PointPref object on the heap.

Author
GW
Date
10/2013
Returns
A pointer to the new PointPref object
Note
If you subclass PointPref, you MUST overload this method yourself! If you don't and/or your clone() method does not return an instance of your PointPref subclass, you will experience "object slicing" when adding the pref to a container.
Warning
The caller must manage the memory for the returned PointPref object.

Implements hdi::core::PrefData.

◆ operator=()

virtual PointPref & hdi::core::PointPref::operator= ( const PointPref rhs_)
virtual

Allows one PointPref object to be assigned from another.

Author
GW
Date
09/2013
Parameters
rhs_Righthand side of the = operator; the object to copy values from
Returns
The target PointPref object, but with its value updated to match that of rhs_

◆ point()

virtual Point hdi::core::PointPref::point ( ) const
virtual

Gets the point for this object.

Author
GW
Date
09/2013
Returns
The Point object being described by this wrapper

◆ setPoint()

virtual bool hdi::core::PointPref::setPoint ( const Point pt_)
virtual

Sets the point for this object.

Author
GW
Date
09/2013
Parameters
pt_New point value
Returns
true if the point is successfully updated, or false otherwise
